Loading....Autosave from Saturday Night

19/02 was THE day. It was the 365th day after my first visit of the legendary 3001 in Düsseldorf. So it was more than clear to me, that I needed a proper celebration. And not just with any DJ, but with my favourite German producer Mr. Patric La Funk :)

After the amazing success that he had in the last couple of weeks with his co-production with Fedde Le Grand ("Autosave" climbed up to #1 at Beatport's chart for the most downloaded songs and the teaser on Youtube got over 300 000 clicks!!), it was no wonder that Patric, who normally warms up the crowd for an international guest DJ, was the main act this time. Someone, who's so talented, deserves to be the star of the party - and Pat sure did prove that he's a great DJ! :)

So, obviously, I was really looking forward to meet him again and to hear "Autosave" live for the first time :)

The night opened Olli Wallner. He played some really nice stuff like Steve Angello's "Knas" and Avicii's incredible remix of Robin's "Hang With Me".

At around 1:30 Pat took over the booth and started with his amazing 3-hour set.

People always wonder why I'm driving over 300km just to go to a party. Well, it's very simple. I could either go to a quite average party at my own town every week or I could save some money for the train and go to Düsseldorf once in a month. And I'll always go for the second one, because artists like Patric are making this "inconveniences" more than worth it! It's no secret, that I'm a BIG fan of his music, but he somehow surprices me every time with something new. It's like experiencing the same music in 1000 different ways. This gives me so much positive energy and makes me smile for weeks :)

But back on Saturday's gig - Patric's set was a mix of great memories and new emotions and I hope that some of you could listen to 3001's live stream, because I'm afraid, that I'll never be able to tell you all about it - you just have to be there, to feel it, to "turn off your head and to turn on your heart". :)

And that's exactly what I did! Patric played so many great songs, it was one bomb after the other: Tom Novy - I Rock, Eric Morillo & Eddie Thoneick - Nothing Better, SHM - One, Pendulum - The Island, Wippenberg's Pong Forever, Thomas Gold - Agora, the remix of Moby's Go by Prock and Fitch, Avicii's Sweet Dreams, Joris Voorn's Magnolia Remix of Dark Flower and many, many more. And I'm super excited to tell you that I was able to hear the new colab' of Pat & Inpetto named "Blizzard" :))

And then came "Autosave". Damn, I love this track! No wonder that it's the most downloaded tune at Beatport - it gives you goosebumps all over, it runs trough your body and makes you a part of the beat. The crowd went crazy and it was sooooo funny to see everyone making those specific moves from the video :D

A very special moment for me was when Pat played Alex Martello's remix of "Bye Bye" (thanks so much :) )

All in all, it was a fantastic evening and I was lucky enough to be in great company, which made the gig even better:)

A great party is coming up on 6/03 - Patric La Funk and Fedde Le Grand will rock Düsseldorf's 3001. I could die for not being able to be there, but you should all go and enjoy this event - it'll be a legendary night, that's for sure! ;)

'Bye Bye'

This release is just from last week and it's amazing! Ron May's "Bye Bye" is really fresh and the vocals by Kitty are the perfect finish to this tune.

Patric La Funk played it in his January podcast episode and ever since I can't stop listening to Alex Martello's remix!

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do :)

'A Dream'

Henry John Morgan is one of those DJs, who are just too good to not know them. So is his new single "A Dream", which promises to become one of the biggest tunes on this year's WMC. It's already a favourite of Pete Tong and Tiesto, so it's definitely worth listening to ;)

The release will be available in the stores soon, until then you can enjoy the original mix on Youtube.

'Open Your Eyes'

It's only one month until this year's WMC and the good music keeps comin'.
This time it's a new collab from Steve Angello and Alex Metric. And as you can imagine, when these two come together on a project, it normally turns out to be something BIG :)

Alex Metric & Steve Angello - Open Your Eyes (Original Mix) by Adrinnana

This is definitely the case with "Open Your Eyes" - it has the energetic sound of Alex and Steve's deep tech rythm. You just have to love the result!
